Sümegi Viktor Mels2

My name is Viktor Sumegi (Mels2) and I am a self taught artist. I started to paint, then I was born in Budapest in 1995. I have spent 8 years creating in Ireland between 2009 and 2017. I work with spray paint, oil, and acrylics on a wide range of surfaces, mostly walls and canvases. My work is about the connection between this physical reality and consciousness. When a baby is born and it comes to this life/reality, a big dose of a natural drug called Dimethyltriptamine (DMT) is released in an organ in the brain called Pineal Gland and this is what's connecting your spiritual visions/thoughts and soul with the body you will live in for the rest of your life. So connection is what I'm after, between all life, and all dreams. I also believe that all knowledge is the universe itself, 96% of it is an "unknown" thing called dark matter, the rest of it are stars and planets, the creations of consciousness, like the name Mels2 I created to call my world. I start painting from my subconscious and I really just let my feelings chose the colours and than I start seeing forms and shapes and I physically paint and visualize what I see inside myself, thats how I connect my soul with my body, and make that moment permanent on a surface. I love painting ocean creatures and sea life because all life forms on this planet started to form in the ocean and I find it much more colorful, ancient, and misterious than the small lands we live on. The message my work is carrying, is to not forget where we all came from, no matter if you're human, fish, dog or a plant, we should all stay conscious about what we do and be connected with spirituality and nature because there is no better way to be fully happy and enjoy this life while we can.
